Favorite Trader Joe’s finds

I never thought I’d reach the point in my life where I enjoyed going to the grocery store, but here I am. Trader Joe’s is a staple grocery run for me every week, and here are my five favorite items I pick up every week:

  1. Vegan Kale, Cashew, Basil Pesto

Being the Italian girl I am, I have always loved pesto. Unfortunately, most pesto is made with with cheese (I’m DF), and making my own Pinterest recipe at home is a hassle. TJ’s vegan pesto has super clean ingredients, and nothing beats the convenience of it being pre-made. I like to put a tablespoon in my sautéed veggies, put it on grilled chicken, or use it when making zoodles.

  2. Organic Brown Rice (frozen)

No need to pull out the rice cooker with this product. The frozen brown rice is the ultimate convenience food that I have been buying for years. The only ingredient is organic brown rice, and all it involves is putting it in the microwave for 3 minutes. Make burrito bowls with it, greek bowls, or use it as a side for a great complex carb.

  3. Spicy Mexican Cauliflower Rice (frozen)

Now this stuff has been my BEST find of the year. Make your burrito bowls with this frozen Mexican cauliflower rice for a spicy kick. Vegan, keto, gluten free… all the buzz words. Cauliflower rice paired with diced tomatoes, tri-color bell peppers, and pickled jalapeños. Pair it with your favorite protein, add beans, put it in a tortilla, whatever you fancy. Very versatile and easy to make.

  4. Wild Red Argentinian Shrimp (frozen)

It’s wild caught (I never buy farm-raised seafood), it’s already peeled and deveined, and … the best part … it’s only $8.99/lb! You cannot find wild shrimp at that price unless you are at the beach.

  5. Garlic Salt seasoning

This is a simple one yes. However, this garlic salt only contains sea salt, roasted garlic, onion, ampersand, and parsley.. all in a grinder tube. The generic garlic salt brands typically contain unnecessary additives such as modified corn starch, sugar, extractives for color, and “natural flavors.” Stick with the TJ’s brand to get the real deal.
